White Island 2025

Get ready for an unforgettable winter adventure with the Auckland University Underwater Club! We’re heading to White Island (Whakaari) for a two-day dive trip filled with epic marine life, geothermal vents, and great company.

We'll drive up on Friday afternoon and stay two nights at the Whakatāne Holiday Park. This trip is open to SCUBA divers (preferably Advanced or above), spearos, and freedivers. Tank refills may not be available, so spots for those needing club tanks will be limited. Priority will go to anyone able and willing to tow the club boat—you’ll also be reimbursed for towing!
